Mrs Poodle
Step-by-step how Mrs Poodle was made
Built using a cardboard box as the base,
corrugated card for the roof and balsawood for
details
The fence is cardboard cut out using a Klik-n-Kut
automated cutting machine. Trees are a mixture of
some made with a Klik-n-Kut, some aquarium trees,
and real plants. To light inside the house, we put
a torch inside the box.
The main pieces of furniture were made with MDF and balsa wood trim. We used copper foiling to make lights for the room, sourced from Glass Magic. We printed a public domain pattern for the wallpaper: 'Seaweed' by John Henry Dearle of Morris & Co. Small tiles for the kitchen were sourced from Victorian Dollhouses, a great dollhouse store here in Canberra.
